On Day 9, I really wanted to spend the whole day resting. However, it turned out that it was my turn to cook again. So, whether I liked it or not, I had to prepare food for the others.
At around 5:30 a.m., I was asked to go outside and buy some cooking ingredients. I bought eggs, onions, and chili because I did not want to make anything too complicated. I just wanted to cook something simple and safe.
After buying the ingredients, I returned to the accommodation and went back to sleep until around 7:00 a.m. When I went shopping earlier, the rice shop was still closed, so I had to wait until 7:00 a.m. before I could buy rice and start cooking.
For breakfast, I only made an omelet. After finishing the omelet, I tried experimenting by making potato wedges.
Surprisingly, the potato wedges tasted really good! I did not expect that I could cook them well. Seeing my friends enjoy the food I made also made me feel happy.
After that, I spent most of the day typing and uploading my daily journal to the Traveller link. I wanted other people to know about the fun moments, challenges, and experiences I had during this ten-month Backpacker journey across 20 countries.
I continued writing until the afternoon. Later, I cooked again and made the same menu as before.
There were no other special activities that day. I performed my prayers as usual and then went straight to sleep because the next morning, we had to visit the Indonesian Embassy at 9:00 a.m.
That was the end of Day 9.
