Monday, August 24, 2026 — Day 30 BP
On August 24, my friends and I spent the day exploring the area around our accommodation. It was a very enjoyable experience because this was our first chance to get to know the neighborhood better.
The first thing I noticed was the people around us. To my surprise, many people could speak Malay, which made communication much easier for us. Because of the similarities between Malay and Indonesian, we were able to understand each other without too much difficulty.
As we continued exploring, we discovered many interesting places nearby. There was a Watsons store located right by the roadside, which was different from what I was used to because Watsons is usually found inside shopping malls in Indonesia. We also found a Dairy Queen and several other shops and restaurants around the area.
Since I wanted to buy food and other necessities, I needed some cash. Therefore, I went to a nearby ATM and withdrew 1,000 baht. After that, I spent quite a lot of money on snacks and drinks. I bought sausages, beverages, and several items that I needed for my stay at the accommodation. There were so many interesting things to try, and I enjoyed tasting different foods throughout the day.
Later in the afternoon, we performed the Asar prayer together. After praying, we continued exploring the area and looking around. As the evening approached, we had dinner before the Maghrib prayer.
After Maghrib, we attended a halaqah session together. Once the session was finished, we performed the Isha prayer. Later that night, I went for a short walk to take some photos of the surroundings. I wanted to capture some memories of our time in Thailand and the atmosphere around the accommodation.
After taking a few photos and enjoying the night view, I returned to the accommodation. It had been a fun and busy day, so I decided to get some rest and prepare for the activities of the following day.
