Meeting the Indonesian Embassy in Thailand

Tsabit Abdurrazzaq Mumtaz
Software Engineering at IDN

After spending several days exploring Bangkok, trying different kinds of transportation, visiting malls, and finding our own daily routines, we had another important activity on our schedule.

This time, we were going to visit the Indonesian Embassy in Thailand (KBRI Thailand).

Unlike our usual days where we mostly explored places and looked for new things to do, this visit felt a little different. We were coming there not just as tourists, but as Indonesian students who were currently traveling and learning through the Backpacker program.

When we arrived, we had the opportunity to meet and talk with people at the embassy.

The main activity was basically a sharing session.

We talked about our experiences during the journey, what we had experienced in the countries we had visited, and what it was like traveling as Indonesian students.

It was interesting to hear different perspectives and also share our own experiences.

By this point in the journey, we had already been through quite a lot.

We had traveled through different countries, experienced long journeys, tried different transportation systems, eaten unfamiliar food, dealt with language differences, and learned how to adapt to new environments.

So being able to share those experiences made me realize how much we had actually learned along the way.

One thing I really appreciated about visiting the embassy was the feeling of being around Indonesians again.

Even though we were already comfortable traveling in Thailand, meeting people from our own country still gave us a different feeling.

It reminded me that wherever we go, Indonesia is still home.

The visit itself wasn't a huge sightseeing adventure, but I think that's what made it valuable in a different way.

Not every memorable experience during a journey has to involve going somewhere famous.

Sometimes, sitting down, talking, sharing experiences, and learning from other people can be just as meaningful.

After the sharing session, we eventually finished our visit and continued with our day.

Looking back at my time in Thailand, the KBRI visit became one of the moments that felt more connected to the bigger purpose of this journey.

We weren't just visiting Thailand to take photos or see famous places.

We were also learning how to communicate with different people, understand different cultures, become more independent, and experience life outside our usual environment.

And honestly, that's probably one of the biggest things I've learned from this trip so far.

Traveling isn't only about the places you visit. Sometimes, it's about the people you meet and the experiences you bring home with you. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ
