Before I start telling my story, I would like to apologize because I could not share my activities day by day. During our time in Laos, we were very focused on our studies and daily responsibilities. In addition, there was no Wi-Fi available, so it was difficult to upload updates or write about each day separately. Because of that, I will summarize my experience from August 11 until August 22.
From August 11 until we left Laos on August 22, I did not do many different activities. Most of my days were quite similar and followed the same routine.
Every morning, we woke up early. Sometimes, if we felt hungry, we cooked our own food. If not, I usually went back to sleep for a little longer. After that, breakfast was served at around 7:00 or 8:00 a.m. We ate together before starting our daily activities.
After breakfast, we continued our learning activities and classes until the Zuhur prayer time. Following Zuhur, we had more classes and lessons until Asar. The schedule was almost the same every day, so life in Laos felt quite simple and peaceful.
After Asar, we finally had some free time to go outside and buy snacks. I usually went to Seven Eleven or a store called No Brand, which was located right next to Seven Eleven. Most of the time, I preferred going to No Brand because I could pay with my card there. Seven Eleven only accepted cash, and I did not always have enough cash with me. Since most of my money was stored on my card, I often chose No Brand and paid by tapping my card instead of using cash.
One of the most exciting moments during my stay in Laos was when my friends and I went to a mini soccer field. We divided ourselves into teams, with around nine to thirteen players on each side. I played on a team with Mr. Mus’ab, Mr. Mustaqim, Mr. Akbar, and several other teachers and friends.
The match was very competitive and enjoyable. Early in the game, I managed to score a goal for my team. Everyone was excited, but our opponents quickly responded and scored several goals of their own. The game became more intense as both teams tried their best to win. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, my team lost the match with a final score of 4–7.
Even though we lost, everyone had a great time. After the match, we took a group photo together to remember the moment. Then we returned home feeling tired but happy.
Overall, my time in Laos was quite repetitive because most days followed the same routine of studying, eating, and resting. However, I still enjoyed the experience, especially the time spent with my friends, the opportunity to learn new things, and the memorable mini soccer match.
