Today started like usual we prayed and did our morning dhikr, but there was no halaqah because we had a CITY TOUR planned. And yeah… as always, we didn’t leave on time we were supposed to depart at 7 AM, but ended up leaving at around 9:30.
Long story short, our first destination was Ba Dinh Square, where the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh is located. The line was insanely long, but maybe because we arrived near closing time, it moved faster. Apparently, the place isn’t open all day it only opens for a few hours.
Eventually, we got inside the mausoleum, and honestly… it felt kind of eerie. The inside was dark and cold, and there were soldiers standing around, completely still—not moving at all. Visitors had to walk around Ho Chi Minh’s body, which, surprisingly, is still preserved until now. The whole atmosphere felt intense, almost like being in some kind of secret ritual or cult
After exiting the mausoleum, we headed back to the Old Quarter and visited Al Noor Mosque. After that, I went back to the Old Quarter and had lunch at Little Charm Restaurant. I ordered chicken fried rice, but it was really expensive 75,000 VND.
After eating, we went to Train Street. Prices there were even crazier. I bought a matcha latte for 70,000 VND, and honestly, it wasn’t worth it at all. We waited about one and a half hours for the train to pass, and eventually, it finally came.
After leaving Train Street, we went to Hoan Kiem Lake, which was our meeting point. After gathering there, my group decided to eat at KFC. Once we finished, we headed back to the homestay and picked up our laundry.
Finally, we returned to the homestay, and yeah—that’s pretty much how the day went.
