Day 4 In Vietnam "Tuesday July 28, 2026"

Dwi Chaesar Putra Kusuma
Software Engineering at IDN

Even though I spent the entire second day at the inn, I still learned a valuable lesson. I learned that on a trip, not all plans go as expected. Sometimes we have to accept the situation, be patient, and make the most of our time with meaningful activities. For me, that day was an opportunity to rest.
Thank God, when I woke up on the third day, the weather outside was much better than the day before. The sky began to clear, and the sun slowly emerged from behind the clouds. Seeing the favorable weather, I was very happy because we could finally continue with our planned activities.
After performing the dawn prayer, taking a shower, and having breakfast together, we gathered in front of the guesthouse to listen to instructions from our accompanying teacher. He explained that our first destination that day was Tay Ho Lake (West Lake), one of the largest and most famous lakes in Hanoi.
We then walked to the location while enjoying the morning atmosphere of Hanoi. The air after the rain felt very cool and fresh. The trees along the road looked greener, while the streets appeared clean after being washed by the rain all night. My friends and I walked and chatted, occasionally stopping to take photos of scenery we found interesting.
Upon arriving at Tay Ho Lake, I was immediately captivated by the beauty of the place. The lake’s waters looked calm with  A gentle breeze caused small ripples to form on the surface. There is a fairly wide walking path around the lake, so many people use it for leisurely walks, jogging, or biking.
We spent quite a while walking around the lake area. Along the way, I observed various activities of the local community. Some were fishing, others were exercising with their families, and still others were simply sitting back and enjoying the view. The peaceful atmosphere made me feel at ease and helped me forget the fatigue from the trip a few days earlier.
My friends and I also didn’t miss the chance to capture moments at various spots around Tay Ho Lake. We stopped almost every few meters to take group photos. Our accompanying teacher also helped take photos of the entire group several times so that all participants could be included in the photos.
While walking around the lake, I realized that Vietnam has many green open spaces that people use for various activities. This gave me the impression that the people of Hanoi really enjoy a healthy lifestyle and love spending time outdoors.
The third day marked the start of our adventure exploring various places in Hanoi. After spending a full day at the hotel due to rain, we were finally able to enjoy the city’s atmosphere again and see the beauty of Tay Ho Lake firsthand.
After everyone had finished capturing those moments, we decided to head back  We headed back to the guesthouse because it was already getting quite hot, and we took the time to buy a traditional Vietnamese bread called pho mai. After buying it, we returned to the guesthouse and decided to freshen up and have lunch.
In the afternoon, we didn’t do much. After finishing the Asr prayer, we decided to just rest in our rooms and share stories about Vietnam. Later that evening, after the Maghrib and Isha prayers, we cooked dinner—we’d already divided up the tasks—and after dinner, we went to sleep. And that was it for our third day in Vietnam.
