Day 5 (Thursday, July 30, 2026)

Bintang Syauqi Ramadhani
UI/UX Designer at IDN

Our fifth day followed a schedule similar to the previous one.

We woke up at around 5:30 a.m. for our morning halaqah. After it ended, I went back to sleep for a while before waking up again just before 8:00 a.m. I took a shower, got dressed, and prepared for another day of classes.

At 9:00 a.m., our first lesson was English, which lasted until nearly 11:00 a.m. After that, we continued with our IT class until it was time for Dhuhr prayer and lunch.

In the afternoon, we had another media project assigned by Mr. Malik, the head of the Media Division. This time, our challenge was to take photographs based on a specific color. Our group was divided into two smaller teams of three people each. I teamed up with Ibra and Mumtaz, and our assigned color was yellow.

We walked around the neighborhood looking for anything yellow that could make an interesting photograph. Along the way, we unexpectedly discovered a hidden café called Wii Café. We had originally planned to walk toward a nearby lake, but instead we took a small side street and came across the café by chance.

The café had a peaceful atmosphere, was not crowded, and was a great place to take a short break before continuing our assignment. We spent some time there before heading back.

Since everyone had been asked to gather again at 3:30 p.m., we left the café at around 3:00 p.m. On our way back, we stopped at a convenience store to buy some instant noodles and plastic bowls. I felt that it would be helpful because several of my friends didn't have bowls to use whenever they wanted to cook noodles.

After that, we visited a local bakery to buy another loaf of bread. This bakery was different from the one we had visited the previous day. Although the bread was slightly more expensive at 15,000 VND, it was still very affordable and tasted just as good.

We also tried to find a laundry service nearby. We walked around the neighborhood and asked several people for directions using Google Translate, but communication was still difficult, and unfortunately we couldn't find one. Eventually, we decided to head back to our accommodation.

The rest of the afternoon was very relaxing. I spent some time talking with Mr. Tio and Mr. Malik before getting ready for Maghrib prayer. After our evening halaqah and dinner, the students participating in the Study Abroad program attended their activities, while the rest of us continued writing our daily journals.

By the end of the day, everyone was feeling tired, so we wrapped up our work and went to bed.
