Assalamu'alaikum!
Today, we had the opportunity to visit the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Hanoi. I started my morning by waking up for Fajr prayer. After that, I went grocery shopping because it was my turn to be on cooking duty.
Once I got back, I prepared a simple breakfast for everyone—fried eggs. After cooking, I returned to my room to rest for a while since I was still feeling very sleepy.
A little later, I got ready for the day and helped clean our room before leaving. We were running slightly behind schedule, so everyone had to get ready as quickly as possible before heading to the embassy.
When we arrived at KBRI, I had a different role than usual. Since Mr. Malik was feeling unwell, I took over his responsibilities as part of the media team. Because of that, I didn't have the chance to record a vlog that day, as I was focused on documenting the activities.
During our visit, we learned a great deal about Vietnam's development, as well as the strong relationship and cooperation between Indonesia and Vietnam. It was an informative session that gave us a better understanding of the diplomatic and cultural ties between the two countries.
The program ended at around 11:00 a.m. Afterward, we had lunch at McDonald's near Trang Tien Plaza, one of Hanoi's well-known shopping malls. Once we finished eating, we returned to our accommodation.
Back at the accommodation, we were supposed to continue writing our daily journals. However, I was feeling exhausted, so I decided to take a nap first. I woke up at around 4:00 p.m., performed the Asr prayer, and continued working on my journal.
By around 5:30 p.m., I needed a short break, so I walked to a nearby convenience store to buy a bottle of Pepsi and get some fresh air.
Later, I cooked another fried egg for myself because Ibra was still asleep. Unfortunately, our rice cooker suddenly stopped working, so I went back outside to buy some snacks and a fresh coconut for Mr. Malik.
While I was out, it started raining. I waited at a small local shop until the rain became lighter. The shop owner was incredibly kind and invited us to sit and chat. She asked us where we were from, how old we were, whether we were still in school, and many other questions. She even offered us a refreshing drink that tasted similar to butterfly pea tea.
We spent some time talking with her about her family, life in Vietnam, and many other interesting topics. It was a simple but memorable conversation that made us feel warmly welcomed.
Once the rain stopped, we bought some bread before heading back to our accommodation. After cleaning up, I continued writing my journal for the rest of the evening.
By the end of the day, everything had gone smoothly, and I was grateful that the day passed without any major problems.
Thank you for reading.
Assalamu'alaikum.
