Day 3 udah2 Tuesday!! nich!..

Abdulaziz Hammadi Bahrudin Malik
Software Engineering at IDN

So It rained heavily that day from the moment we woke up right through until the afternoon, without any real let-up. It had been almost a month since the last proper rain, so this was unusual, especially given that it's still summer season here. Rain that persistent, for that long a stretch, felt like a rare occurrence, the kind you notice precisely because it breaks the pattern you'd got used to. The sound of it against the

roof stayed with us for hours, a constant backdrop to everything else that happened that day.

As usual, I woke up and headed to the bathroom to get ready for Fajr prayer. The rain was still coming down hard outside, drumming steadily in a way that made the room feel smaller and quieter at the same time. After we prayed together, we moved straight into our morning Tahfidz session, memorizing Qur'an as we do every day. Aside from the weather setting an odd mood for the morning, everything else went by fairly normally the same rhythm we'd settled into over the past few days, one that's started to feel familiar even this far from home.

Then came KBM (Kegiatan Balaraj Mengajar  our class time), and today it looked a fair bit different from usual. The room we were using had originally been a dorm room, built to comfortably fit around seven people with their beds, not a classroom at all. But on this particular day, it was pressed into service to hold class for two combined majors at once: RPL (Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak Software Engineering, my own major) and DKV (Desain Komunikasi Visual Visual Communication Design), with three students from the DKV side joining our group for the session.

With both classes merged into a single small room, we ended up packing in more than twenty people into a space meant for a fraction of that number. It was tight  properly cramped, with barely enough room to shift in your seat, let alone move around freely. Even the teacher had to sit in an unconventional spot just to fit into the setup at all. To make things more interesting, the projector screen wasn't mounted on the wall like you'd expect  it was fixed up on the ceiling instead, so everyone had to crane their necks upward just to follow along with whatever was being displayed.

On top of the seating chaos, the room itself wasn't remotely set up for a proper computing class yet. None of us had laptops out at that point  they hadn't even been distributed or set up but the room already looked like a construction site for one.

Cables ran everywhere across the floor and walls, tangled together like a plate of spaghetti, part of a terminal and socket system being laid out to eventually power
