Vietnam Daily BP DAY 8

Tsabit Abdurrazzaq Mumtaz
Software Engineering at IDN

Sunday, August 2, 2026
Now, let us continue with the story of Day 8.
Our original plan was to leave for a city tour at 7:00 a.m. However, as usual, our departure was delayed.
One of the reasons was that one of the bathrooms still had a problem. Six people had to share the bathroom on the fourth floor.
After everyone finished preparing, we entered the car. We finally started our journey at around 9:30 a.m.
Our first destination was the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex. The building was very large and impressive. There were also many guards in the area.
It seemed that Uncle Ho was a very important person who made a great contribution to Vietnam’s independence.
We could enter without buying a ticket. However, visitors were not allowed to take pictures. We had to put our cameras inside special bags and leave them at the storage area.

After leaving our cameras, we walked toward the inside of the building. We had to walk up some stairs and pass many guards.
At the entrance, there were two guards carrying weapons. When we entered the building, the air was very cold.
Inside the main room, we saw the preserved body of Uncle Ho. Several officers guarded the lower area, and even more officers guarded the upper area.
The room was very quiet and serious. The atmosphere made me feel a little nervous. Uncle Ho looked like an old man sleeping peacefully on a bed. His body was preserved very well.

After seeing the room, we left the building and collected our cameras from the storage area.
On our way to the exit, we passed a souvenir shop. I bought a refrigerator magnet as a souvenir.
After leaving the complex, we went directly to Al Noor Mosque to perform the Dhuhr prayer. We travelled there using Xanh SM.
When we arrived at Al Noor Mosque, we immediately performed the Dhuhr prayer. After that, we went to a restaurant called Little Charm.
In my opinion, the restaurant was quite nice. The prices were also reasonable for a restaurant.

After eating, Bintang and Ibra went to Uniqlo. Meanwhile, Fattah, Qaidy, Ahza, and I decided to rest at the mosque until around 4:00 p.m.
After that, we met again at Train Street. Because I walked a little slowly, I arrived late. Ibra and Bintang had already seen a train pass by.
They continued walking around, while my group and I waited for the next train. After the train passed, we walked to the lake to meet the others.
We walked because we did not have internet data. Some of our friends ordered online motorcycle taxis.
When everyone arrived at the lake, we received some money for dinner. We used it to eat at KFC.

After finishing our dinner, we returned to our accommodation. When we arrived, we took showers, performed our prayers, organized our belongings, and rested.
That was the end of Day 8.
