Vietnam - Laos Daily BP DAY 13

Friday, August 7, 2026 โ€” Day 13 BP

Hello, everyone! Today is the big day. We are finally moving to another country, from Vietnam to Laos!

If you ask me how I feel, honestly, Vietnam will always be a memorable country for me. It was the first country I visited during this Backpacker journey, the facilities were good, and most importantly, I had a really great time here.

After spending two weeks in Vietnam, I can honestly say that I was very, very happy. I made many memories here, and it feels a little strange to leave already. But of course, the journey must continue!

As usual, I woke up and performed the Fajr prayer. After that, I went back to sleep because I was still sleepy.

At around 6:00 a.m., I woke up again for breakfast. Ibra and Bintang were responsible for cooking that morning. They purposely cooked early so we could finish breakfast and continue packing.

After eating, I went back to sleep until around 9:00 a.m. Then, I woke up, took a shower, and checked my belongings.

Actually, I had already packed everything the night before, but I wanted to make sure and double-check everything in case I had left something behind.

When everyone was ready, we were told to wait until the Dhuhr prayer. Normally, Friday means we would perform the Friday prayer, but because we were traveling, we performed the Dhuhr and Asr prayers together with jama' qashar.

After the Dhuhr prayer, we carried our backpacks and went to Building 1 to gather at the meeting point while waiting for our shuttle bus.

Not long after that, the bus arrived. We got on and headed to the terminal. The journey took around one hour, and we arrived at the terminal at around 1:00โ€“2:00 p.m.

At the terminal, we had to wait for our sleeper bus, which was scheduled to arrive at around 4:00 p.m.

As time passed, our bus finally arrived!

My friends and I quickly got on the sleeper bus and started to rest. We were told that the journey would take around 23โ€“24 hours, but I guess we would have to wait and see.

I opened my laptop for a while and watched something during the journey. After that, I got sleepy and went back to sleep.

When I woke up, we were already at a rest area. I forgot exactly what time it was, but it was already nighttime.

I did not get off the bus because I did not have any money with me. So, I decided to stay on the bus and sleep again.

And just like that, my journey from Vietnam to Laos continued into the next day.

See you in Laos! ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฆ
