PPI Sharing (Wednesday, August 26, 2026)
Assalamualaikum.
Today, we had a sharing session with PPI Bangkok, Thailand.
There were several people who were going to share their experiences with us and also take us on a campus tour.
The first two were Kak Rifai and Kak Aldi, and they are students at Chulalongkorn University.
Chulalongkorn University is basically like UI in Indonesia and is ranked number one in Thailand.
We left our accommodation at around 9 a.m.
After that, we took a boat to Pratunam.
From Pratunam, we continued to Saphan Hua Chang.
After getting off, we walked quite far, probably around 1โ2 kilometers.
Then we waited to meet the PPI students.
Not long after that, we finally met them.
We got some snacks and drinks first because some people hadn't had breakfast yet.
After that, we started exploring the campus.
My group was guided by Kak Rifai.
At the beginning of the tour, we walked around and looked at buildings from different faculties, including Engineering, Medicine, and Science.
After that, we went to a small pond and waited for the other groups to arrive.
Then we went to the university cooperative store to see what they sold there.
They sold uniforms, food, drinks, and school supplies.
After that, we went to the campus bookstore.
It was basically like a university version of Gramedia.
We stayed there for around an hour.
Once we finished exploring the stores, we went to the cafeteria for lunch.
We took a bus to get there, kind of like the yellow buses at UI.
The bus was free, and the cafeteria was quite far from where we were.
When we arrived at the cafeteria, we were only allowed to eat at one specific place because the other food stalls didn't have a halal logo.
There were lots of different foods and snacks there, including smoothies and various pastries.
After lunch, we continued with the sharing session at a place that was kind of like an open-air hall.
They explained various things to us, including scholarships, life in Thailand, Thai culture, and many other things.
After that, we continued to the mosque to pray Dhuhr and Asr.
We walked from the campus to the mosque, which took around half an hour.
We prayed Dhuhr, although by that point it was already getting close to 3 p.m.
After that, we prayed Asr.
Once we finished praying, we went back to the accommodation.
After that, we were free until the evening.
Then we just rested.
Assalamualaikum.
